A non-canon Intercontinuity Crossover side series, Transformers/Back to the Future, began running in October 2020, depicting the creation of a timeline where the Decepticons rule Hill Valley. This was followed by two side series: Back To The Future: Biff To The Future in 2017, which focuses on Biff's rise to power in the 1985-A timeline, and Back To The Future: Tales from the Time Train in 2017-2018, which follows up on Doc Brown immediately after Part III. The second volume, "Continuum Conundrum," picks up five months after the end of Part III, featuring a new plot where Marty must investigate Doc's disappearance after receiving a letter from Clara, who sent the letter from 1893.Ĭoncurrently, a side series called Back to the Future: Citizen Brown ran in 2016, adapting the story of Back to the Future: The Game.
This volume comprises two stories in each of the first four issues of the comic, with each primary story featuring a Framing Device set in the Old West, and with Issue 5 being a Nested Story.
